Wednesday, 2 September 2009: The usual suspects – including four of the top six places to Coolmore stallions – rose to the top of the sires with 100+ runners last season, with Redoute's Choice and Encosta De Lago both notching a tally of 46.

Encosta De Lago notched the same figure, but with more runners. He did however top Redoute's Choice in terms of his top 10 runners last season, which averaged 120, as opposed to Redoute's Choice's 116.
Third on the list was Commands, who had 34 horses reach a figure of 100 or better last season.
Then came the
Coolmore trio of Danehill Dancer (30),
Choisir (28) and Rock Of Gibraltar (27).
The Vinery duo of More Than Ready (26) and Red Ransom (24) were next, followed by the old marvel Zabeel (24), whose season was highlighted by Maldivian's Cox Plate win, which returned a figure of 125 for that win.
