Tea Roses
, a daughter of Exceed And Excel, is the lone raced runner from Chiara not to win a race, although the narrow defeat today suggests a win is just around the corner.
She had previously run fourth on debut in good 3yo company at Doomben in August.
From her six winners, Chiara's best have been the G2 Ascot Vale Stakes winner Ferocity, G2 Surround Stakes and G2 QTC Cup winner Chinchilla Rose and the South Australian G3 winner Leone Chiara - all of which are by the ill-fated Lion Hunter.
Since producing Tea Roses, Chiara has delivered a Redoute's Choice filly (now a 2yo named Lumina) and another Exceed And Excel filly.
Frustrating
was purchased by Patinack out of the Alanbridge Stud draft at last year's Magic Millions for $150,000 and was having her first start for Jamie Nielsen after previously racing in New South Wales.
She is a half-sister to this year's LR Ipswich Cup and recent Brisbane Listed winner Our Lukas (Generous), being from the Gold Brose mare Parfore.
