* MORE THAN READY sired his 70th individual stakeswinner when Perth filly New Image won the WATC Belmont Oaks on July 3.
New Image is one of nine Australian stakes winners for More Than Ready this season, joining the likes of More Joyous, More Than Great, Brightexpectations and More Strawberries.
Bred and raced by Bob Peters, New Image is a daughter of 1999 G2 WATC Oaks winner Reflected Image (Bluebird).
* SPIRITED EAGLE, the rising star by Arrowfield Stud's first season sire NOT A SINGLE DOUBT, earned a spell with his third win of the season at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
"We might see him late in the spring or we might give him a nice long spell and get him ready for the autumn,” said trainer Leon Macdonald.
Spirited Eagle was purchased by Adelaide bloodstock agent Adrian Hancock for $85,000 at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Saleon behalf of winemaker and breeder Wolf Blass and has already earned over $132,000 from just six runs.
The two-year-old gelding's dam Rezidencia, a daughter of Carnegie, won two races including one at Moonee Valley and is a daughter of the triple Group winner and Stradbroke Handicap runner-up Society Bay.
Rezidencia is a half sister to three stakes performers including the Group winner Society Beau.
Another half sister, the winning mare Logical Lady, is the dam of the dual NZ G1 winner Final Destination. It is also the family of the Hong Kong Champions Mile winner Sight Winner and AJC St Leger winner Duanette's Girl.
* SNITZEL, another of Arrowfield Stud's hot first season stallions, posted his ninth individual winner from his first Australian crop when Primal Instinct (ex Who's That Lady by Star Way) won at Morphettville on Saturday.
* Fellow Arrowfield resident STARCRAFT had his seventh individual winner from his first Australian crop when his well bred daughter Crafty Lady (ex Macedon Lady by Filante) scored at Geelong on Friday.
Starcraft is also the sire of Hovercraft, a Melbourne winner who was a close second to Spirited Eagle at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
* Promising MOSSMAN colt Agister ran right up to expectations when resumed with a classy win at Rosehill on Saturday.
The Allan Denham trained two-year-old hadn't raced since the G3 Kindergarten Stakes at Warwick Farm in the autumn when he was found to be suffering from a virus.
He had won his only previous start in the spring at Randwick and a recent stunning trial win pointed to a return to that form when resumed on Saturday.
His winning returns all but caps an extraordinary season for Vinery Stud resident Mossman, who has sired 10 individual 2YO winners so far this season including five stakes performers led by Brisbane carnival winner Parrawi and Stirling Grove.
Mossman had a double at Rosehill when his progress 3YO Triple Elegance recorded his third straight win.
The win was Triple Elegance's fourth career win from only nine starts and sets him up for a return in the summer with races like the G2 Villiers a distinct possibility.
Waller's charge is out of former smart mare Mary Machree who foaled a Mossman colt in 2009 on November 16, three years to the day that she delivered Triple Elegance.
