: The catalogue for New Zealand Bloodstock's Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale on August 3 offers 75 entries including a selection of well-credentialled breeding opportunities ahead of the breeding season.
The catalogue features 41 broodmares by leading dam sires including Centaine, Last Tycoon, Marscay and Zabeel, plus six yearlings, five two-year-olds, 14 racehorses and nine unraced horses.
Opening the Sale, the broodmare session will offer a number of attractive breeding prospects including stakes winning mares Italian Princess (Bertolini), Mydiamond Bracelet (Al Akbar) and stakes placed Take the Cake (San Luis) who has been served by Sir Percy.
A number of mares have been served by some of New Zealand's leading younger sires including Any Suggestion, Iffraaj, Mastercraftsman, Perfectly Ready, Sakhee's Secret, Showcasing and Sir Percy.
Covering sires also include Darci Brahma and Savabeel
who have had highly successful seasons and are fully booked for the 2012 breeding season.
The 14 racehorses on offer include the stakes winning daughter of Holy Roman Emperor in Holy Moly.
A talented three-year-old, Holy Moly won the Listed Soliloquy Stakes earlier this season at Ellerslie and placed in the Group 3 James & Annie Sarten Memorial Stakes.
Holy Moly will be sold as a racing and breeding proposition along with the three-year-old Shutout.
A blue-blooded winning filly, the lightly raced Shutout is by the champion sire Redoute's Choice and is from the Group 2 winning mare La Sizeranne (Stravinsky).
Due to make an appearance in the Karaka ring for the second time in his career, the Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale will also offer the entire Sun Ruler.
A son of the champion sire Zabeel and from one of history's greatest racemares, the 13 time Group 1 winner Sunline, Sun Ruler was purchased as a yearling from the 2007 Karaka Premier Sale for $2 million.
