Tuesday, 10 July 2012: US import Mosayter sired his first stakes winner when Mr Moet won the G3 Strickland Stakes at Belmont Park in Perth on Saturday.
Mr Moet (Mosayter – Marlock Miss by Karioi Star) is from a WA family going back 30 years to Shah-Anne (Speak Low). She won the WA Sires' Produce Stakes when it was a Group 2 race in 1983.
Mosayter (Storm Cat) has sired 23 winners of 71 races in Western Australia.
He is bred on the Storm Cat/Mr. Prospector cross and his dam Bashayer is a half-sister to G1 sires Nashwan, Nayef and Unfuwain.
He now stands at Argyle Thoroughbreds in NSW.
* SCENIC's G1 winner Universal Prince had another Sydney winner on Saturday when World Wide was successful at Rosehil for trainer Bede Murray.
World Wide (Universal Prince x See the Stars by Mr Henrysee) is a younger half-brother to Kenny's World (Kenny's Best Pal), winner of the G3 Southern Cross Stakes and G3 Newcastle Cameron Handicap.
Universal Prince has sired 63 winners of 178 races since he began his stud career at Inverness Stud in NSW.
He has since stood in WA and South Australia.
