Tuesday, 10 July 2012: A Deep Impact half brother to G1 Emperor's Cup Autumn winner Tosen Jordan (Jungle Pocket) topped Monday's JRHA Select Sale yearling session on a bid of 250 million yen from Takaya Shimakawa.

"I visited Northern Farm on Friday, I fell in love with him," said Shimakawa.

"In addition, the dam of the colt is a sister to my Emperor's Cup winner, and I thought I should not miss this colt.

“The price is more than I thought, but I am very happy to get him."

A gross of ¥5,452,600,000 represented a record for the yearling session. The foal session commences in Hokkaido on Tuesday.
