Monday, 16 July 2012: Progressive filly Lady Of Shamrock became the first G1 winner for her Coolmore sire Scat Daddy with her victory in the American Oaks at Hollywood Park.
Lady Of Shamrock (Scat Daddy x Blushing Issue, by Blushing John) is trained by John Sadler and has been in good form this year winning the G2 Providencia Stakes and China Doll Stakes, before finishing second in the G2 Honeymoon Handicap leading into the Oaks.
Her overall record is now five wins and two placings from nine starts.
Sadler indicated that Lady of Shamrock would likely to have her next start in the GI Del Mar Oaks on August 18.
Lady Of Shamrock is a half-sister to G2 winner Smooth Jazz, stakes-winner She's Sensational and is one of five winners from Blushing Issue, a half-sister to G I winner Royal Chariot.
She is the first GI winner for last year's US Champion First Season Sire Scat Daddy.
