Friday, 20 July 2012: Magic Millions graduates passed a significant seasonal milestone when bargain buy Makin' A Racquet won at Northam in Westernb Australia on Thursday.
The win was the 5000th in Australia this season for graduates of the leading thoroughbred sales company.
As well as being the country's premier supplier of stakes winners, Magic Millions has reaffirmed its position as the race winning leaders around Australia.
Makin' A Racquet, who cost just $550 at the 2010 Magic Million Perth Thoroughbred Sale, is prepared by Kelly Davis and was ridden to victory by champion WA jockey Paul Harvey.
By the end of Thursday's meetings around Australia the win tally for the season had reached 5004.
Along with the 1143 wins achieved over the same period abroad the total win count for Magic Millions graduates since August 1 has been a staggering 6147 races.
Prizemoney earned on Australian tracks for the season has hit a record $117,886,191 with the season closing on July 31.
