Friday, 27 July 2012: A three quarter brother to G1 stars Playing God and God Has Spoken will be a standout out lot at Perth's Magic Millions Winter Sale on July 29.
Durham Lodge has catalogued the Blackfriars x Idyllic Doll foal among its big draft of 33 weanlings.
The colt's dam Idyllic Doll (Scenic) is a half-sister to the Neville Parnham-trained stablemates who both graduated from Durham Lodge yearling drafts at the Perth Magic Millions.
They sold for a combined total of $68,000 and to date have earned $2.4 million for the Cockatoo Ridge Syndicate.
Parnham is looking forward to another lucrative spring and summer with Playing God set for the G1 Emirates Stakes on the last day of the Melbourne Cup carnival at Flemington before he returns to Perth for the G1 Railway Stakes–Kingston Town Stakes double at Ascot.
Playing God (Blackfriars x Dolly Will Do by Rubiton) has won the last two editions of the Kingston Town and has been G1 placed in Melbourne in the Australian Cup, Australian Guineas, Turnbull Stakes and C F Orr Stakes.
Danehill's G1 winner Blackfriars will be crowned champion Sunspeed sire for the second successive season.
