Friday, 27 July 2012: A throat infection has ruled Group One winner Heart Of Dreams out of aturday's G2 Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield.
Trainer Mick Price reported that mucus had been found in Heart Of Dreams' trachea, forcing him to put back the start of his spring carnival campaign.
"I'm not happy with him so he's not running," Price said.
"I'll treat him and get him all cleaned up and probably run him in the PB Lawrence first-up."
The G2 PB Lawrence Stakes (formerly the Liston Stakes) will be run over 1400m at Caulfield on August 18.
Heart Of Dreams hasn't raced since last September.
There are two other scratchings from the Bletchingly Stakes with Tariana, a stablemate of Heart Of Dreams, and the Wayne Nichols-trained Diplomatic Force also early withdrawals.
