Monday, 13 August 2012: A new Thoroughbred Breeders Queensland Association committee was elected at the Annual General Meeting held in Gatton on Sunday.
Prominent Darling Downs breeders Scott McAlpine from Eureka Stud and Mary Lee Trivett from Banchory Stud have been elected to the committee and President Basil Nolan has been returned.
“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote in the election. We represent your interests and livelihood so it's extremely important that the committee reflects that."
The voting count was Basil Nolan – 175; Scott McAlpine – 142; Mary Lee Trivett – 122; Chris Musgrave – 62; David Lucas – 60; Michael Grieve – 51.
