The Daily Challenge is an exciting new real time racing game - and you get to the top of the Leaderboard by ... picking winners!
Earn points for each winner or placegetter you select and match your skills against other AAP Racing and Sports website users.
Entry is FREE but to access the Daily Challenge you have to be registered as a Racing and Sports User. If you have not already done so, click here to register. To set up a Profile is free.
Once you've logged in you are ready to start your own Challenge and enter selection's everyday.
Each day, Racing and Sports will select a maximum of four race meetings to make your selections on. Usually races with a start time (EST) of noon or later will be eligible.
You simply select one horse per race - then points are assigned based on the finish position (you only get points for 1st, 2nd or 3rd) and the price of your selection - bonus race events give you additional points based on the TAB odds of your horse.
The Daily Challenge Points Table is updated live during the day allows you to track your points and more importantly compare you progress against other Challengers as the day's racing unfolds.
The four meetings covered will generally be the major meetings in either New South Wales, Victoria, Brisbane and South Australia.
To ensure a "even" playing field, selections will have to be in by 11:59am - the noon start time ensures that Challengers who do not have access to betting markets during the day are not disadvantaged.
From any Internet connection you can keep track of your day's results - "My Monitor" is a great way of tracking your results live, at your home or office.
All updates occur shortly after official dividends are declared - usually about 10-15 minutes after the result of the race.
Once you have logged into your Racing and Sports Profile, you will be able to access the Daily Challenge as follow;
This option will take you to the main menu for the current Challenge.
This option will allow you to review the previous weeks challenge in detail.
Every 7 days you information is archived - The number of selections, number of winner, placegetters, strike rates, win odds etc are updated.
For each week day, you will be able to enter your selections from the previous evening, right up until cut-off time. For week-end meetings, both Saturday and Sunday meetings will be available on Friday.
No selection can be registered within 15 minutes of start time. So if the first race is at 12:00 noon, make sure that you get your selections in (at least for race 1) prior to 11:45am.
If you select a horse that is scratched you will automatically go onto TAB number 1. If TAB number 1 is scratched, it will TAB number 2 etc.
