| News Room - Latest News | | Marwing gets his Caulfield Cup ride (11/10/2005) | International star Weichong Marwing will get to ride English stayer Carte Diamond in Saturday's Caulfield CupMarwin has held a long term booking for the Brian Ellison trained stayer but a start was only confirmed today when the Melbourne Racing Club committee finalised the 18 horse field for the Caulfield Cup.
Carte Diamond secured one of the final two places with Sir Dex ahead of Queensland Derby winner Lachlan River, and Natural Blitz and Bazelle - that trio the emergencies.
Marwing, in Melbourne with Cox Plate bound Greys Inn, will get his first feel of Carte Diamond in a track gallop at Sandown tomorrow morning (Wednesday).
