Exceedingly Good For Secret Hill Farms
Exceedingly Good is set to become the world's first son of Exceed and Excel to go to stud, as he joins the stallion roster at Queensland's Secret Hill Farms in 2009.
John Doherty, with the aid of Blue Sky Thoroughbreds' Julian Blaxland has acquired a significant band of boutique broodmares in recent years including stakes mares Cheeky Choice, Superfly, Gwendolyn and Chinamora.
The Doherty's share a passion for breeding and racing and are excited along with Secret Hill Farms stud manager Don Mackinnon for the prospects of Exceedingly Good stud.
“He's what we all look for in a young stallion; type, pedigree and racecourse performance” commented Mackinnon,
“The colonial speed sons and grandsons of Danehill consistently produce what breeders, owners and trainers demand in Australia, sound, early running types that train on - this colt is the complete package”.
Exceedingly Good will stand his first season at Secret Hill Farms at $7,000 + GST
A limited number of shares in Exceedingly Good will be offered prior to the 2009 breeding season.
