New Zealand's top jockey James McDonald did not fail to make his one-day visit at Kranji count on Singapore Airlines International Cup day, scoring for fellow Kiwi trainer Stephen Gray aboard Golden Curl.

Booked to ride the John Moore-trained Zaidan in the $3 million Group 1 race, the New Zealand champion jockey unsurprisingly had his services well sought at Kranji as he had also picked up six more rides, of which Golden Curl was probably one of his better chances.
