Sahpresa Retirement Confirmed

Trainer Rodolphe Collet has confirmed the retirement of triple Sun Chariot Stakes winner Sahpresa.

The G1 winner has been retired to owner Teruya Yoshida's Shadai Farm in Japan.

Collet Stablemates Arrive For Mile Championship

The Rodolphe Collet stablemates Sahpresa and Immortal Vesre, France's runners for this year's G1 Mile Championship, arrived safely in Japan on November 5.

The 6YO Sahpresa and 3YO Immortal Verse are now the JRA Racing School quarantine facilities where they will spend time before traveling to Kyoto in western Japan for the G1 event on November 20.

Sahpresa reigned supreme in the Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes yet again as the resilient French mare became the first to win the Newmarket Group One three times.

Although the distance, conditions and age restrictions have been tinkered with over the years, this was still a substantial achievement by trainer Rod Collet and his stable star, who was exceeding Free Guest's two titles from the mid-80s in a race that generally favours the Classic generation.
