Randwick Lawn Party A Sell Out
For the fourth year running tickets to Sydney¡¦s biggest race day party, the Derby Day Lawn Party, are proving to be hot property with the sought-after event set to sell out this weekend.
The only lawn party to be held over the 2006 Tooheys New Easter Carnival has attracted unprecedented interest and sales are on target to sell out in record time.
This hugely popular party takes place at Royal Randwick on David Jones Derby Day, Easter Saturday, 15 April 2006.
Firmly cemented as the place to be on Easter Saturday, the Derby Day Lawn Party turns the exclusive zone at the start of Royal Randwick¡¦s famous home straight into a high-octane party area, where revelers experience up-close racing action complemented by all-day entertainment from live performers and some of Sydney¡¦s hottest DJ¡¦s.
The ticket also gives partygoers access to themed marquees and a food and beverage package including selections from a variety of delicious food stalls.
The on-track action features some of the best thoroughbred racing in Australia, with the nation¡¦s top jockeys and stars of the turf competing for almost $4 million in prize money, including the $2million purse up for grabs in the day¡¦s feature race, the David Jones AJC Australian Derby.
¡§The level of interest in the lawn party grows every year,¡¨ said Robert Sullivan, AJC Senior Manager Marketing.
¡§Once the tickets sell out our phones ring hot with people begging us for tickets and wanting to know if there is any way they can buy them. My advice is, if you haven¡¦t already, get your tickets now so you don¡¦t miss out on the party of the year¡¨
