Wednesday, 6 June 2012: Australian jockey Ronnie Stewart got off the mark with his first win at Champ De Mars last weekend.

Stewart accepted a riding contract with the Vincent Allet stable last month and was riding at his third meeting since he arrived on May 15.
He has now had 12 rides for the one win and three minor placings.
Stewart, a former Sydney champion apprentice, spent five seasons in Singapore before he returned to Australia at the end of last year after deciding not to renew his licence with Singapore Turf Club.,
Allet, who spent some time in Australian stables, has been training in Mauritius since 2000 and has won 229 races.
He has won 54 races over the last three seasons and has five on the board this year.
