: Australian riders Tye Angland, Tim Clark, Zac Purton and Brett Prebble have had their club jockey licenses extended for the full 2012/13 racing season by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

No licence was issued to John Moore's retained stable jockey Darren Beadman due to his on-going health problems. Moore has been granted permission to retain a stable jockey for the 2012/13 racing season.
Olivier Doleuze, Weichong Marwing and Douglas Whyte will also return for another full season while South African newcomer Richard Fourie and Andreas Suborics have been granted licenses to ride in Hong Kong from July 16 until February 1 of next year.
Umberto Rispoli will make up the international contingent with a licence to ride as a club jockey from November 1 to March 31.
Fourie, 26, commenced his riding career in 2002 and has won more than 650 races including eight G1 events. He is currently 4th on the South African jockeys' championship with 112 wins.
The riders granted freelance licences for the coming season are Matthew Chadwick; Howard Y T Cheng; Alex H W Lai; Eddy W M Lai; Derek K C Leung; Ben T H So; Jacky C K Tong; Terry C W Wong and Keith M L Yeung.
Tong was placed on notice that his overall race riding performance during the current season remains of concern and that should his riding not improve significantly during the 2012/2013 racing season he may not be granted a further licence.
Full licences were approved for apprentices Vincent C Y Ho (allocated trainer Caspar Fownes) and Alvin K C Ng (Dennis C H Yip) while Dicky Lui Cheuk Yin (allocated to trainer Ricky Yiu is not permitted to ride in races at Happy Valley until permission is granted by management.
Training licences for next season have been issued to Michael C W Chang; Almond Lee; Paul O'Sullivan; Tony Cruz; Andy T W Leung; Andreas Schutz; Derek Cruz; Francis K W Lui; Danny C S Shum; David Ferraris; Manfred K L Man; John Size; Caspar Fownes; Tony Millard; Me Y S Tsui; Richard Gibson; John Moore; Sean Woods; David Hall; Peter B K Ng; Dennis C H Yip; Peter L Ho; Gary T K Ng; and Ricky P F Yiu.
Gary Ng was placed on notice that should he fail to meet the requirements of the Trainer's Performance Criteria he will be asked to provide the committee with a written explanation as to the decline in his stable's performance.
