Black Caviar now in quarantine

Monday, 25 June 2012: It was announced yesterday that Black Caviar and suffered a grade 4 tear of a quadriceps muscle and a grade 2 tear of a back muscle, plus a bruise to her rear.


Nobody can say when these injuries occurred but she did not seem to be herself during the parade and looked to be a bit sore after the race, although she did receive the Queen's pat with great composure. One thing is certain and that is she did not manage to get into her top gear for whatever reason, and as such her time was remarkable.

She has now gone to quarantine for 2 weeks at Newmarket and then will return to Australia for a further two weeks at Werribbee, and she will be able to receive treatment at both centres.

Let's hope now that she is able to decide her future career.
