UK: Germond To Address Leaders In Racing Conference

Friday, 29 June 2012: Philippe Germond, the Chairman and CEO of the world's second largest betting organisation, PMU in France, is the latest key industry figure to sign up as a speaker for the prestigious Leaders in Racing conference, taking place on 10th and 11th October 2012 at Chelsea FC in London.

Germond was reappointed for a further 4 year term as Chairman and CEO of PMU earlier this year, having the led the organisation through a period of in-depth transformation with the loss of its online gaming monopoly.

He has also done much to update its image and has been credited for PMU achieving its growth targets across all businesses, and increasing net profit by 10.8%, in 2011.

He will be sharing his vision for the future of betting and racing alongside other key figures in the global horse racing business at the prestigious Leaders in Racing conference. This exclusive, invite-only event was launched in 2011 with a sell-out attendance of 250 director-level executives from over 25 countries, including representatives from 18 Jockey clubs, 33 associations and 40 betting operators.

It is held as part of the world famous Leaders Sport Summit, which attracts the top 1,500 executives from world sport for 2 days of learning and networking.
