Saturday, 30 June 2012: And two Gr 2s at Belmont, but let's start out west with the Gr 1 Triple Bend for 3y+ over 1400m.
On paper it looks to be a tight contest between The Factor and Smiling Tiger, and we will add Camp Victory on 6/1 to those for a bit of value.
The Shoemaker Mile Gr 1 for 3y+ has 8 runners, headed by the uncommonly good Mr Commins on 2/1, with Little Mike on 3/1 and our old favourite Jeranimo.
Over in the East at Belmont there's the New York Stakes Gr 2 for the girls 3y+ over 2000m, with the market headed by Banimpire, a former Irish winner who was a regular top 3 finisher. She's probably just about right on 2/1 as she should be better than these. Acting Happy is on 3/1 and Mystical Star 4/1.
The Dwyer Gr 2 is for 3yo over 1800m and has a field of 9 to run. Teeth of the Dog is 5/2 and Unstoppable U and Zetterholm are both on 3/1.
