In the Shoemaker Mile Jeranimo got his first G1 in a run from the rear of the field. Argentinian import Suggestive Boy was second and favourite Little Mike third.
At Belmont Mystical Star got her first Stakes win in the New York Stakes. Aruna and Hit It Rich followed and Banimpire was disappointing in her American debut.
The Dwyer saw Teeth of the Dog just hold out Fast Falcon with the final margin a neck, and Morgan's Guerilla was third.
Leading Japanese jockey Yuichi Fukunaga has arrived in the US and was riding yesterday at Churchill Downs without any great news it appears and will be riding there tonight before heading over to California where he will ride at Holywood Park and Del Mar while going to English lessons. He's a very talented rider and a gentleman as well.
