Friday, 10 August 2012: The £45,000 Group Three German-Thoroughbred.com Sweet Solera Stakes (3.35pm) is the highlight of a seven-race card at Newmarket tomorrow, August 11, 2012.

A total of eight fillies go for the seven-furlong contest including impressive course scorer Certify for Godolphin handler Mahmood Al Zarooni, who won last year's renewal with Discourse.

Richard Hannon will be relying on the unbeaten Sky Lantern, who won a Listed race at Naas in June, to give him a second success in the race after Nasheej in 2005, while Charlie Hills will saddle promising maiden winner Reyaadah.

Ralph Beckett will be represented by Bath maiden scorer Redressthebalance, who made it two from two with an emphatic two-and-a-quarter-length nursery success at Ascot on July 28.

Beckett, who trains at Kimpton Down Stables in Hampshire, said: "Obviously it's a big step up for Redressthebalance but sometimes you have to do that with a filly with her profile because she is unbeaten.

"Perhaps we would win another nursery but I would have to wait another week and she is made to be a two-year-old. Also, her owner is a breeder so it would make sense to have a crack at a Group race now.

"She is in good shape and had plenty of time between her first and second run and now it's time to get weaving.

"The two-week gap between Ascot and Newmarket wouldn't bother me as she is a very tough filly and she didn't take much out of herself as Ascot as she won so easily.

"I would have been disappointed if she got beat off that mark (75) at Ascot and there would have been a bit of head scratching if she hadn't won.

"I wouldn't be surprised if she won on Saturday but there are some really nice fillies in there and Certify in particular looks pretty smart. I hope our filly shows up well and fast ground would be ideal."

The field also includes Chester winner Savanna La Mar, trained by Sir Mark Prescott, who finished second in the Listed Star Stakes at Sandown on July 26, while Tom Dascombe will saddle dual-scorer Dream Maker.

The field is completed by Brian Meehan's Fantacise and Momalorka, trained by William Haggas.

The seven-race programme at Newmarket kicks off at 2.25pm and runs through to 5.55pm.
