Dandino, Seismos and Guest Of Honour have travelled well to Melbourne and settled in nicely at Werribee according to their managing owner Darren Dance.

Last year's Caulfield Cup runner-up Dandino and stablemates Seismos and Guest Of Honour have handled the trip to Melbourne with aplomb to the relief of connections.

The trio's managing owner Darren Dance from Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock said they had settled in to the quarantine centre at Werribee well as they continue preparations for their spring carnival missions.

Trained by Marco Botti, the three were part of the first shipment of 19 internationals from Europe who arrived in Melbourne on Saturday.

"All our three travelled out well," Dance said.

"They all drank lots of water and ate their feed. The weight loss for each horse was minimal."

Dandino lost around 10kg on the flight and Seismos 8kg which Dance said they had regained.

They will run in the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.

Guest Of Honour did not lose any weight which Dance said was remarkable. His first-up mission is the Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield ahead of a potential Cox Plate start.

"They just had a bit of a walk around this morning and they all look really good and bright," Dance said on Monday.

"We're really pleased with the way they have settled in.

"They will go out on the track tomorrow for the first time to have a bit of a walk around and then we might do a little bit of work with them later in the week."

Dance said it was a relief the horses travelled well and arrived in good order.

"You can't afford to really have any setbacks when you are going for these big races, so I was pleased we didn't have any setbacks," he said.

Dandino finished strongly for second to Fawkner in last year's Caulfield Cup before running fifth in the Melbourne Cup.

Dance said Dandino looks terrific and was more race-fit on arrival than he was a year ago.

Guest Of Honour won the Group Two Summer Mile at Ascot in July at his most recent start.

Seismos won the Geoffrey Freer (2671m) at Newbury in August, while Dandino was fourth in the September Stakes (2414m) at Kempton at his final start before travelling to Melbourne.

Dandino is at $21 for the Caulfield Cup and is the same price for the Melbourne Cup while Seismos is $26 for Caulfield and $35 in the Melbourne Cup.
