Melbourne Cup favourite Fame Game has firmed from $4 into $3.80 making him the shortest priced cup favourite since So You Think ($3) in 2010.

The TAB reported that over 25 per cent of all money bet has gone on the favourite, with Caulfield Cup winner Mongolian Khan ($9) also receiving punter support.

“It appears punters are happy to take any odds available on Fame Game,” said TAB’s Nick Quinn.

“Surely now he is at a rock bottom quote but it’s no surprise after his run in the Caulfield Cup to understand why he has easily been the best backed runner.”
