Trainer Chris Waller has scratched Hawkspur from Saturday’s Group 1 McGrath Estate Agents Metropolitan (2400m) at Randwick.
Waller will instead run Hawkspur in the Group 3 The Bart Cummings (2520m) at Flemington on Sunday with Hugh Bowman taking the ride.
Hawkspur had drawn barrier 14 on the 15-horse field in the Metropolitan but came up with gate six at Flemington.
Waller will still have four runners in the Metropolitan, with Beaten Up the top pick in TAB fixed odds betting at $7.
Junoob and Beyond Thankful are both at $11 with opinion a $26 chance.
Magic Hurricane remains the TAB favourite at $3.80 ahead of Almoonqith at $6.
