Kuro To Contest Coolmore Stud

Promising colt Kuro will tackle Group 1 company for the first time in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington.

A convincing winner of the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes at Randwick last Saturday, Kuro has reportedly come through the run in good order.

The strength of Kuro’s latest win along with the how the colt has pulled up has resulted in the three-year-old being Melbourne bound for the Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m) at Flemington on November 1.

Kuro is in the midst of a breakout campaign and is now a dual stakes winning son of Denman after successes in both the Heritage Stakes and Brian Crowley Stakes.

Blake Shinn has ridden Kuro on each of those occasions and will retain the ride in Melbourne.
