The next batch of imports to race in Australia for OTI Racing are due to land in Sydney next week.
Tom Melbourne, Bazaar and Sir Walter Scott are currently in quarantine in Newmarket.
The trio are scheduled to arrive in Sydney on January 20 and will spend two weeks in quarantine at Eastern Creek before going their separate ways.
Tom Melbourne, a classy Dylan Thomas four-year-old to northern hemisphere time, made a big impression winning on debut in Ireland before being acquired by OTI.
He will join the Lee Freedman stable at Flemington after he leaves quarantine as the trainer wants to assess the horse before mapping out his 2015 program.
Archie Alexander, the young British trainer who set up stables at Ballarat last year, will prepare Bazaar and Sir Walter Scott for OTI.
Bazaar is another Irish-bred four-year-old by Galileo with two wins from five starts for Aidan O’Brien. He will acclimatise at OTI’s Wingara pre-training property at Kilmore before joining the Alexander stable.
Sir Walter Scott, a five-year-old previously trained first by Aidan O’Brien and then Luca Cumani, will also spell at Wingara before joining the Alexander team.
Sir Walter Scott is a winner at Dundalk in Ireland and has been placed in Listed company at The Curragh in seven starts.
Trainers David Hayes and Tom, Dabernig are also set to take delivery of their latest import Dibayani.
Dibayani is currently in quarantine having previously been trained in Hong Kong.
An Irish-bred five-year-old by Shamardal, Dibayani has not raced since he bled in a G2 race at Sha Tin in October. He was second in the G1 Champion & Chater Cup (2400m) at Sha Tin at his previous start.
