Winter racing on the Parks track this Saturday with nine of the best from Adelaide.

We stay on the inner Parks track this week with many of the usual suspects set to clash on what will be a genuinely soft track. In these Winter meetings, where exposed form is at an all-time high, it can sometimes pay to look for the horse bringing in the coveted 'DF' (different form).

Many of the stayers in Race 5 have crossed paths before, however it is the new addition to the Roslyn Day stable who piques my interest as the best of the day.

King Of Pharaohs, (ex. Lindsey Smith) was a dominant winner first up as a gelding and one of my horses to follow. I'm happy to forgive nearly anything that ran on Thursday at the Bool, with a very heavy 10 track undoing many runners.

Since outclassed in an SA Derby, he should've won at Murray Bridge when desperately held up inside the final 200m, posting a strong figure nonetheless.

Out to 2250m, a soft barrier to sit in the coffin, or as a pharaoh, the tomb, he just needs a bit of room in the straight to be winning this and looks a deserved favourite at $3.50.

For the best value, I'll be hoping that the King Of Pharaohs form line holds up, as France's Boy also comes out of the race at Murray Bridge over 1800m, where he led and was swamped late.

He hasn't won in a long time but sets up well to run a strong race here. This is clearly his best track and distance, with 3 wins from 7 starts, and dropping back in trip looks a positive given he's a miler and no more.

His last run over this course he led and was nabbed on the line by Sign Of Ussuri, beating home a couple of better fancied chances here, now meeting them much better at the weights.

With 52kg and blinkers back on, Sophie Logan should cross and lead, and at $18/4.60 available, he looks a chance of pinching a break around the tighter inner track and running better than those odds suggest.
