?If you?re tired of going around in circle?s we can help!?
Ladies & Gents,
In this period of non carnival rest, I will run the famous Tennis Comp originally devised by the sadly departed, King Tonto.
It will revert to the original format of 5 sets with one race in each of the 5 major centre?s comprising a set.
The rules are in full detail at the end of this post but in Summary;
1) Each Player will be randomly placed into a Tennis Draw and face a player head to head in the first round.
2) The first player to post out of the two will be credited with holding serve for sets 1,3 & 5. The opponent will hold serve in sets 2 & 4.
3) By holding serve you have right of horse selection in that race.
e.g. Player A has serve in the set
Player A selects, 1)Imanag 2) Imquickerthanthatgrey 3) Cokeaddict Player B selects, 1)Imanag 2) Boatrace 3) Milkshake
Player A would have horse Imanag & Player B would have Boatrace.
4) If your horse finishes in front of your opponents you win the set.
5) Once a player wins three sets the game is over.
6) You select three horses to cover scratchings. If your first selection is scratched you automatically get selection 2. The service rule still applies.
7) Entries must be submitted on the official entry template by the described deadline.
8) Each week?s racecard (sets) will be posted by Thursday PM.
ALL PLAYERS ARE WELCOME AND THIS WILL ACT AS A QUALIFYING EVENT FOR THE BIG SPRING CARNIVAL MASTERS SERIES.
FINAL ENTRIES FOR MASTERS SERIES WILL BE AT EL PRESIDENTE?S DISRECTION.
Any decisions are at the sole discretion of the Tournament Promoter; El Presidente (ME)
I will gladly be accepting and utilising the administrative skills of Mooksta to assist in the running of this tournament.
Entries will close on Wednesday 29th June 2005.
Total numbers to be decided pending entries.
Regards El Presidente
This is a tipping competition disguised as a tennis tournament.
THE FIVE SETS
Each match is comprised of 5 SETS, each set represented by a race from each of the five mainland capitals. The Sets are -
Players make three selections in order of preference for each set.
Players can NOT select the same horse in the same race. To prevent this from happening the player that posts his tips to the Forum first will have SERVICE in Sets 1, 3 and 5. The player posting his tips second will have SERVICE in Sets 2 and 4.
SERVICE simply means that you have first choice. If both tipsters select the same horse as first preference, the SERVER'S tip has priority and the RECEIVER's second preference would become his set tip.
The third preference tip will be used as a substitute in the event of scratchings...
Should multiple scr occur the player will be credited with the highest saddlecloth number. All other rules remain.
NO TIPS CAN BE ALTERED AFTER SUBMISSION.
To win the set your tip must beat your opponents tip to the line. That is all. There are no pints for wins or placings. Dividends do not matter. Just beat your opponents tip to the line....The first to win 3 sets wins the match.
Players should submit their tips as follows -
1ST SET 1. 2. 3.
2ND SET : 1. 2. 3.
3RD SET : 1. 2. 3.
4TH SET : 1. 2. 3.
5TH SET : 1. 2. 3.
It should be easy to cut and paste this blank form into your message, and just fill in the blanks..
