Well i have to say i was wrong about Freeze, was told from a pretty reliable source that this was the best of the Waterhouse two year olds and backed it accordingly, and you guys haven't missed putting the boot in which is okay if i dish it out i am big enough to cop it as well.

One thing i won't retract is my statement about Grand Armee to do what this horse did at his sixth start was amazing (can someone please tell me why Cassidy didn't pull it out at the top of the straight) He is a superstar and look out if he makes the doncaster field he will give it a big shake.

Predictions for the big races this Autumn from myself are :-

Golden Slipper : Legally Bay
Doncaster      : Grand Armee
Derby          : Fine Society
Oaks           : Fine Society
Sydney Cup     : Carnegie Express

Now instead of bagging me why don't you so called experts give me your fearless predictions!!!

Why have you switched camps in respect of shower of roses / fine society?

is your original oaks tip injured?

Dragon,

Bring the best 2YO in the Waterhouse stable this year may not count for a whole lot.

Somebody should make a tape of all Jim Cassidy rides in feature races over the last 12 months and use them for training of apprentices. He is going terrible at present, how many times can he slaughter Secret Land?

My fancies at present are:

Slipper: Roedean/Niello
Doncaster: Defier
Derby: StReims/Helenus
Oaks: Ribe/Fine Society
Syd Cup: Some midweeker, not too interested.

Da G,

It was a toss up. I was going to go for a dead head but that would be taking the coward's way out.

I think both are equally promising but you have to worry about Shower's set back and lack of racing.

However, if Fine Society goes the Derby way she's the one to be on.

I was unaware of any setback but i notice that shower is nominated for 3yo fillies classic at kembla wednesday....you're not switching trams are you and "hyping" the other filly now.

Could you please continue to post your hype lists via the black book thread.

i am not bagging your judgement. I just want to see how many "next big things" you can possibly declare in a season!

Da G,

Someone asked for our Oaks tips so I gave them. If that is hyping a horse so be it.

I stand by my record anyway.

At least I have the guts to make predictions.

Well Dragon, I'm no expert but I'll give it a go:

Slipper - Secret Land
Doncaster - Crawl
Derby - Helenus
Oaks - Thurman
Sydney Cup - Platinum Scissors (?) (but I don't really care at this stage)

"At least I have the guts to make predictions."

Actually Muiry i make predictions every time I place a bet with my bookie...I just choose not to share them with you cause quite simply what's in it for me? it has nothing to do with intestinal fortitude!

Of course i could put in some longer term prognostications as provided at the start of the thread, but my point is you flap across this site like a kid in a toy store who "discovers" a new play thing every 5 seconds.

In this case you've jumped camps! 7-8 weeks ago you made statements to the effect (and i'm sure they could be easily dug up - hint anyone) that Shower of Roses would win the Oaks "full stop", now along comes the next big thing in fine society and Shower of roses is in the same pile as yesterdays papers - outta sight outta mind.

we all read the results and see the videos. you're not pointing out anything new!

for what it's worth - The Oaks = Sunday Joy!!

I think J.Cassidy has a problem with strength in his hands or all of his arm. He didnt ride Bulla Borghese all that good last two starts.
Waiting to see how she goes with H. Bowman tomorrow. Could be the one to watch for Easter Races.

Da G,

If you don't like reading my posts don't.

I like hearing others talk about horses so I do the same. I've certainly learnt from others.

I thought it would be petty clear that having the guts to make predictons refered to posting on this site.

Guts because of people like you just hanging for those prediction to stuff up so you can point it out. But not a word when the prediction or tips come off.

I couldn't care less.

You should really think about reading more carefully. You say re Shower of Roses "out of sight out of mind"? Hello? Did you not understand that I rate her equally to the filly who came out and smashed the colts in the Guineas? Didn't you understand that I was troubled by her set back and the fact that she won't have raced for at least 4 weeks?

My recollection was the thrust of that post was that Shower of Roses was more promising than Bin Dancin. Stand by that! Seem to recall I was attacked for suggesting that Bin was no champion and lacked acceleration. I wasn't even going to bring it up but have a look at her last couple of starts.

Are you saying people shouldn't have an open mind and be open to changing their minds (which I haven't even done).
