Message: I see someone has cashed in on the lay of the day, Vengo. I did too, but not the same way as one astute punter with a Betfair account. I managed to go around it and played the multiples and exotics and did very nicely out of the race. Obviously not as well as the Betfair punter who had this betting option at his availability. Vengo had virtually no chance on form. I was amused and almost splitting my sides when form "experts" labelled it a good thing on Friday and Saturday. Its just a repeat of what I have been saying for years and years re the "experts" and doing the form. It also once again brings home the other point I have been making ever since "Innovation Girl Day" many years ago. You can win on races by laying horses. Just one horse will do. I then do not need to rattle my brain to try to pick the winner of that race in 1 or 2 selections. So many have tried to criticise for me not doing this in the past but thats just their problem. Once a lay as short favourite is identified you can go as wide as you like to unearth and win off the winner of the race. One day some of these slow learners and "old generation" punters may come to realise this. So on we march and look forward to further bigger wins with Betfair. I will add, with this agency you can lay one horse and win (if it loses), something I have been spruiking for years and been criticised for. Maybe now that Betfair will be here soon, more will get with it and realise I was correct after all.
Oh... can't go without a word on good old Bomber Bill I cleaned up on him too. But most of you that keep a close eye on my posts realise what a fan I am of the old Bomber. Keep going you good horse. I will probably be saying this in another 4 years.

Message: Khaptingly i'm happy that you made some money out of the race. But surely to be taken seriously you need to post this before the race and not 2 days after?

Message: Well I do feel a right fool then, I did the form and thought Vengo was the best bet of the day and ended up losing my free $200 SportingBet on him.
The only thing I am annoyed with is the fact that they announce 5 minutes before the race that they are changing riding tactics on this horse. Might have been nice to know that a bit earlier a lot of money is put on before the last 5 mins before the jump....(including my free $200 bet!!)
