I have noticed that not one of the placegetters in either the Golden Slipper or AJC Derby are trained in NSW.
Melbourne horses have peaked at the right time here, and I feel that Our Smoking Joe (The BMW) and De Lago Mist (AJC Sires) were extremely unlucky.
And I feel that Serenade Rose, California Dane and Molotov look like winning G1's later on in the week.

You're right the placegetters in the Derby weren't trained in NSW. The winner is though.

Which bit of Headturner is trained in NSW??

Listened to Wayne Hawkes this morning and was saying how happy he was that a Victorian horse could get in there and upstage the Sydneysiders in the race.

Combine that current tally with the 11-5 in favour of the vics over the spring, and i think it proves that the 2 formlines from Victoria and NSW are very similar, and should put to an end officially the Sydney superiority complex.

If anything the tally currently stands at 15-13 in favour of the South, so you could argue the other way. :) Just joking......
