So where are these two?

I know Lynch got the boot from Maund, is he still riding?

And has Sheehan finally retired due to his weight problems?

And finally, whats the story with Freedman and Oliver, i thought they where thick as thieves but i see C Brown has got the main job for the FBI, has there been a fall out?

cheers

Hi Rex

Justin Sheehan is still battling weight problems and I think he has taken out a trainers licence, however, he has kept the door open to take rides if he can make the weight (above 58kgs) I would guess.

Freedman was looking for a light weight stable jockey and originally approached Brett Prebble but he is happy to stay in Hong Kong so he recommended Corey Brown with whom he became very friendly while Corey was in HK. The move suited Corey as he likes living out of the city and the Freedman set up at Rye is perfect for him. I believe Oliver will still ride for the stable but will also be free to take outside mounts.

Glen Lynch I am not so sure about - maybe he is suspended.

Hope this helps.

Rex,

You are right I don't think he can so I suppose if his weight stabalises he would have to hand in his trainers licence and re apply for a jockeys licence.

As it has been a while since I read this in an article about him he might have decided to hold off on the trainers licence for a while.

He wife is a daughter of the late Kevin Robinson who trained at Berry and she is an experiened horsewoman so maybe they will set up together with the rest of the Robinson family.

I will make some enquiries at the races next Saturday.
