Will Annie La Vie actually start this week? Was scratched last Saturday as well as from the 1000 Guineas.

Agreed - the somewhat disappointing field in the Plate is matched by most of the other races it seems.

Those are the worst Cox Plate day fields I've ever seen. The Mile is terrible and the 1000 metre race likewise.

Very poor , lacks depth .

Thank goodness we were all able to get to the track last year to watch a true champ Northerly pull a race crowd , cause i reckon this could be the worst crowd recorded in years . This is what happens when sub standard horses like Lonloser are classified as champions.

I reckon we all join R anchor at his favourite track Echuca and watch some trots , if we're lucky he'll keep his dutch oven theories to himself.

At first look i was dissapointed with the days feilds, not now that ive found some winners
(fingers xxxxx)

If the track is suiting all runners ie. leaders/swoopers, then Dilly Dally will be very hard to beat. Good horse this.

My fave horse ATM Cannyopra to win the Vase, then to the Derby.

The Sprint is a good race, many chances.
Get on Our Egyptian Raine each/way good bet.

Flying Chance good roughie in the Cup, excellent run in the Metrop.

Cox to hard for mine, harder than what most expect. Look for Beadman to take off to early & get caught late.

Palidamah to bolt the mares race in, My BEST for the day. Get on NOW...

Happy Punting All.

Rebukestar,

He also drew a big crowd to Rosehill, when he was brickwalled by a Stonemason.

I agree he WAS a champion. So don't jump on the bandwagon that I'm a Northerly hater..

But if you need to forgive Northerly for a couple of runs in Sydney, then hold off on your assessment of the black flash until tomorrow afternoon, you may have to forgive him the bad run at MV last year..

BTW Lonhro covered the last 600m in exactly the same time as Northerly last year, positioning (another Beadman Butcher) and being over the top (admitted by J hawkes !!!) were the main factor's.

Keep an open mind luke and feel the force go WHOOSH!!!!

Still haven't seen you game enough to take up the offer of a hiatus based on how far Lonhro beats Clangalang.

The Pukestar has spewed.
