It must be a few months since I have advised, and this advice is free, that betting on a dog or horse that is Odds-On in a field of 5 or more is sheer stupidity.

Odds-On punters have had another shocker today at Seymour with Godspeed going under. They backed up with Hallowell Belle winning but at best $1.40 they are still reeling.

This warning is more relevant than ever. As you would all know by now, what it does show is how ordinary our so called best horses are. These 2 Odds-On chances today have been running in so called "class" races last season, but struggling in Maiden races. This spring will see an even bunch of horses in most races, even group races, that basically are not much good.

In AFL the gap is widening and in racing the quality of horses is not. It is getting closer and the "best" are worse than ever.

Except maybe for 1 or 2 horses out of 100,000 or more of racing age.

Woops. Spoke too soon. Up rolls another shortie. Moody warned punters about Godspeed - if you didn't heed his advice you only needed to check the horse's form. Odds on pop won the Missile on Sat, much to Count's chagrin. Your 'advice' still makes as much sense as it did when you first started bowling it up.

So if Godspeed had been $2 or $2.50 it's a good bet? He showed in Sydney that he would be better over further ground so 1200m was always going to be too short. Yes class can go a long way, but if the horse had not cost so much as a yearing, then the expectations of him would be more realistic.

"You get what you pay for", you sure do WCF.

My clients join my tipping service and pay on a racing year basis. At the start of this season, earlier this week, fees to receive my tips increased.

It was a fairly dramatic increase and based on clients returns from investment. Not one client complained and all renewed their membership.

The downside is that there are still no places available for new clients and those here.

For all of those who know a bit about trading/punting these sort of posts from Khappo on highlight the fact he knows very little. If Khap knew how silly they make him look he wouldnt submit them, but thats the point- he really doesnt.

Godspeed should have stayed home and had a nice roll in his box, because no way he was going to beat the winner, maybe if he held onto Decircles tail he would have closer..

try that next time Gods-slow.

Hang on Khrapper, Hallowell Belle won didn't it??

A $1.40 winner is better than any losing bet, so if you backed it, it was a good bet..

So you are now saying that an odds on winner is a bad result???
