Rce 1 - Narellan has the big weight but is in top form and has McLellan aboard. Bit of Knowledge is back in Sydney and with the claim will be in the finish. Look for improvement in Southern Rose.

Rce 2 - Imperialism should win here but can be costly. Bit of Knowledge is also engaged in this race and will be hard to beat in which ever race they choose. Coolgardie can round out the top 3.

Rce 3 - Peel won well last start and can go on with it again. Gorgonite is the danger and will be tough to beat while Beatitude gets in well and should charge home.

Rce 4 - Suva has Beadman aboard and will be extremely hard to beat. Beau Gallant is the definite danger after a top run last start while British Storm will be good value and one for the exotics.

Rce 5 - Lilly O'Reilly is in great form and should win, however will be short. Reve is the only one that looks capable of beating her while Inatin should fill the 3rd place.

Rce 6 - Pont Du Gard is capable of beating Winbreaker here. They will fight it out. Honshu should lead and can stick on for third at good odds.

Rce 7 - Octama should win this race if he ever is to greet the judge. Won't be at anything special though. River to the Sea is the danger with Pensive Warfare for third.

Rce 8 - Top race for the last of the day. Eastwest Success backs up and looks the one to beat. With the pace on Wagstaffe and Force Zulu will charge home and won't be far away. If Chester County finds his best he will blow this lot away.

Best Quinella - rce 5 - Lilly O'Reilly and Reve
Best EW - Rce 6 Pont Du Gard

I also live in Sydney and mostly attend Saturday meetings but I am afraid I will give this one a miss.

I guess it is mid winter and it is on the Kensington Track and trainers seem to want to avoid it at all costs.

Unfortunately moves to Warwick Farm attracts fines from the TAB so I guess the AJC are in a Catch 22 situation.

I think I will have a racing free weekend and it is only a few week until the new season and we will start to see to classier racing.

It is a pretty uninspiring card.
jackpot quartet race 8:

Chester County
Eastweast Success
Wagstaffe
Turaga
Pink'n'Black for value

That would be highly entertaining!

Best advice I can offer about Kenso would be to drive straight past, head to the airport, get on a discount flight to Bris or Melb & catch a cab out to the proper races.

You can be back in time to watch the Swans at the SCG.

Probably only set you back a couple of hundred, & you'll feel better for it. Who knows, you may even get Tonto as your driver (in Melb).

Have more chance of getting your $200 back at decent race tracks with decent fields & not run by TAB Ltd.

Good chance you'll get your money back on Bris R1-1, too.

Please think twice before giving up your hard earned to TAB Ltd. Just look at what they are giving you back.

Now, where's that domestic terminal?

After sticking up for this meeting yesterday, I am highly disappointed with what I see this morning. One race with 5 starters, 3 races with 7 starters, 2 races with 8 starters and 2 races with 9 starters.

Anyhow, heres the late mail.
Rce 1 - Narellan
Rce 2 - Imperialism
Rce 3 - Gorgonite
Rce 4 - Suva
Rce 5 - Reve
Rce 6 - Pont Du Gard
Rce 7 - Octama
Rce 8 - Chester County

Good Luck! It may be needed!

Hawkes,

Thanks for the post (taking the time to do it).

My comment regarding Sydney today is that I have added a new rule to my investing.

I don't have any investments on track's worse than dead. Maybe its taken me a lot longer than others to come to this conclusion.

I find when reveiwing my results that they are consistently negative on slow and heavy tracks.

How often do we identify horses who have won or been placed on a "wet" surface only to find a horse who has no disclosed form an a rain affected surface runs a great race and we are left scratching our heads.

In addition, I don't particularly like the K surface.

I agree with the Commish on this one.

Having said all the above, I hope you have a successful day.

Gee I love dry tracks for racing.
