Message: Both MB & RANGI are Doncaster doubtfuls. MONTON (-6.5) gets the biggest weight relief but has a slight query after that, SECRET ADMIRER (-3) obv finished powerfully and is a Randwick mile specialist, REKINDLED INTEREST & SINCERO (-3.5) also finished off very well. HAPPY ZERO's run better than it looked, hit the line well from near last after a checkered run down the straight and is perhaps a lightweight Doncaster place chance at what will be prohibitive odds. Then there's MJ....personally don't think she can win with 57.5.

Message: Quite right, Knuck! I really liked Niagara for the Ryder but the step up was too much. I had Metal Bender in the quaddie (and got it) and was(am) surprised by his price. I had a day where my stand-alone tips did f@#$ all but I won on the day through exotics. I'll take those days anytime.

Message: I am going with the Metal Bender / Rangirangdoo quinella. I actually think MB's best distance is the mile, and his first up run was a gem. He isn't a stayer, and they aren't training him to be one anymore. I can actually see Waller taking the trifecta in this race. LCA has a hope as does Niagara. Begg will just have SA running around here....
Message: Agree comments re RANGI knuck, SINCERO the danger for mine though, flying low and a repeat of his George Main performance here will see him go awfully close.

Message: Rangirangdoo, 2000m back to 1500 follows the profile from his Doncaster win, in fact the Ranvet runs were very similar having travelled strongly around the bend but out stayed at the end both times. Think he'll win but his habit of getting into 2 horse tussles rather than going away on the line ensures some stressful moments in the last 200.
Niagara is a false favourite here given the enormous step up in grade.
Secret Admirer goes better at Randwick and might be having one of its 'runs' here before peaking in the Doncaster.
The Doncaster winner is here in Monton who is obviously poorly suited at the wieghts (52.5 in the donnie) but wouldn't surprise me if he ran in the placings to cement favouritism.
