Message:
Fellow posters,

Was brainstorming with Maam about Xmas gifts and considered a greyhound for the household to invest in.

Would greatly appreciate if anyone had any thoughts/experience that they can share on this site.

Looking to keep expenses reasonable, and am not looking to find the next winner of the Easter Egg (I think that's a big race)

Will not be able to kennel/look after dog hence need the trainer to manage all aspects.

Appreciate thoughts/suggestions - or ideas where else to look.

Thanks in advance

PS - have owned horses - but can't afford them anymore - and understand that dogs are trained differently (eg - split prizemoney with trainer 50/50 - but have no running costs)

PPS - my preference is to find a trainer in the Bendigo, VIC region.

A good mate of mine had a handy greyhound, thought he would run it dead so as to get a better price next time.

Whilst on his way to the track he tied it to the back of his car and gave it a brisk hit out. His money never went on, guess what.. yeah it won!

Once he put Vaseline in it’s eyes so it couldn’t see the bunny.

Hope you get a greyhound Sir, and have a lot of fun with it.

Subject: any interested parties?

Message:
This is a whole new direction for me to take, but i am very keen to get interested in ownership of a greyhound.

I admit my knowledge is limited to this sport, but the outlay for a well bred pup is nothing when compared to current prices for yearlings. So if anyone is interested in forming a partnership, please let me know.

At this stage i am very open to how many people are willing to form ownership, where to race and who to train. For me, it will be hobby based and a bit of fun. or any ideas throw it at me.

Also, what are peoples thoughts on these dogs and the pups value - brett lee x black fantasy @ $10000.00

blink.
