Early doors yet folks, but we're (finally!) getting some decent rain this arvo here in Geelong, and according to the radar there's more to come.

I'll keep you posted.

Nige,

Thanks for that.

I would give you a position on the weather channel but I am very happy with the well appointed filly who already has the spot. She is a proven performer in the going, has been over the course and distance and appears to be peaking at the right time.

Good luck tomorrow.

Regards

Timesman

9.4 ml at Laverton since 9.00 am this morning.

Prediction - slow.

Forget Valedictum, Nige.
24 of the past 25 Emirates winners have been either 4 or 5 years of age.
That's a stunning statistic.

As at 6.00 pm it's rained steadily since at least 1.00 pm here; still more to come too. Tomorrow's forecast has been altered to 19 and rain.

I think we can at least start looking at horses who act in the wet.

I'm thinking Valedictum, Our Smoking Joe and Tan Tat De Lago have had their chances improved at this early stage.

Too bad it didn't come a few days ago.

Viewed would have won by 3 and it would have saved C.Brown some precipitation of his own :)
