pretty ordinary race. I think Baron & Second King will be good but this horse is by High Chapparel and they are winning everything in NZ. 1600m will suit.

Message: I'm going to have a go at Elimbari in R3 Syd. She was very slow in the early stages of the race against Solar Charged and seemed to hit a couple of flat spots before really winding up with 150m to go. If she races more professionally this time, I think she can really take it to the two faves in the last 100m.
Palacio De Cristal is very good odds consideriing she is on the same weight as the 3yos and has some great form going into the Coolmore.

note I tipped jimmy a couple of weeks ago at big odds and then told eveyone how stiff he was, he then came out and won by 2.8 in canberra next start at $5

Message: Daffodil seems to be forgotten in Ranvet. Might be getting to 2000m a bit quick but is 3 from 3 third up, G1 winner. Many of her opponents will be looking for BMW 2400m ground (Alcopop, Littorio, Moatize), and the pace of the race looks suspect for stayers. Theseo obviously the one to beat.

Message: I greatly respect your opinions, Joe.
Dane Julia was a fave of mine but I hopped off the bus and missed its last 2 wins.
My memory on her was that she was best fresh and seemed to fail as the company got better.
I know Lee has said he has got her right, but I believe she is not up to group 1.
I reckon that Lady Lynnette is the horse to beat. Her consistency is her forte. That being said, there are three horses, who I will be looking at in this. One is a budding champ, one a gay deceiver but well weighted. and the other showed huge improvement last campaign, and may now be ready for a group 1 win.
Faint Perfume - we all know her feats and she may be on the edge of greatness.
Prima Nove - just like her mum, she may be ready to win a group 1 having turned 5.
Miss Mariele - 2nd up query, but her form last campaign was a revelation and she is right in this.
Her price suggests she should be a roughie, but not for me.
My roughie is Gai's entrant Cold Water. If she gets to the front cheaply, then lookout.
This is by and away the best Group 1 F&M field I can remember - depth wise. As such, I may have missed the placegetters.
My tips
Miss Marielle Faint Perfume Lady Lynette Prima Nova Cold Water
I love this day as it heralds the real start of a a month of racing that is maybe the best month of racing on the callendar - variety wise.
