Message: They should play the national anthem when Khrapper says something intelligent. Maybe we could get one of Anthony Callea's grandchildren to sing it.

Message: The anthem should only be sung/played on special occasions and for special events. Not a non important horse race. One Group 1, why not all of them! (wish I hadn't typed that)
It has got totally out of hand.
I have half been expecting to hear the anthem played, when they open an extra check-out at the local supermarket!!!

Message: The STC play the national anthem at every meeting and have a 'guest' singer at major meetings and usually the crowd enjoy it and sing along. It is called being patriotic. So why don't all the grinches go find something else to bag about racing, you seem pretty good at that, and that's about all.

Message: Ok Pink I realise you and WCF and boof are rather intelligent beings, otherwise you would not continually read my posts.
I also realise the Anthem is not a bad piece of work.
But, there is no need to hear it everytime we have an important sports event, let alone everytime there is a Group 1 race. What is the national significance of Ranvet day.
We should hear at one race meeting a year. The first Tuesday in November.
And one footy match a year. The Grand Final in each code.
Then I would need to block my ears only a few times a year.

Message: Khrapper,
You still don't understand the purpose of the anthem nor the fact that it is musically a pretty sturdy work in context. Time to get your ears and brain regrouted.

Message: It was an excellent rendition of the anthem and added to the atmosphere and excitement in the lead up to the race.
If you didn't like that Khap you had best avoid any coverage of the golden slipper, I've head that Rob 'Millsy' Mills is performing the anthem on the big day, and I think we can all agree that he can't hit a note.

Message: Yes very good Khrapper. And you would be one of the posters on here respected for their intelligence? As P. Keating would probably describe you, not to beat his drum, - you are 'a low altitude flyer' when it comes to the old grey matter.
