It really has reached an all time low.

Taking the cake is the loss to the Kiwi's in Rugby League last night. That's right losing to the Kiwi's.

Not far behind was losing to England in Rugby Union.

Of course, our national cricket team have only won 1 game in their last 8 in all forms of the game. That was a "dead rubber", in the last one-day game against Sri Lanka.

Rex will try to introduce all these minor sports or sportspersons to the discussion that we have hardly heard of. Like Formula One, and we won't even win that one, seemingly a certain win a few weeks ago.

And have our horse racing stocks ever looked so bad. Racing fans tried to make SYT appear as good as Phar Lap. But even a horse that was running around in ordinary Sydney handicaps a few weeks ago, ran past it in the Cup. Besides SYT has beaten ordinary horses in its wins. Phar Lap, not on your life. That shows how desperate fans are, in waiting for another champion to surface.

An indication of the big black hole in our racing is the Sandown Classic yesterday. 8 acceptors for a $350,000 race and 2 of those were from overseas. An Aussie 9YO won the race. Take nothing away from Zipping, but since his 2YO days, over 140,000 Thoroughbreds have been bred in this country yet we cannot get more than 5 other locals to contest the "Classic" of $350,000. It is a classic example of disgraceful and getting worse.

Much like a lot of our sport.

Two thirds of the runners in those HK G1's are bred or have a sire or damsire who has stood down here. So how will Khrapper improve the industry?

Still reeling from my smashing of you KhrapAxlSpider, you LIAR and FRAUD - yet again I get a mention in your posts.

Personally I wonder when you will get over your sooking from the DECADE OF DOMINANCE our ALL TIME GREAT TEAM enjoyed. No doubt you will come back with some dribble about a couple of series we lost during this period, but please don't bother, you'll just embarrass yourself yet again with your "fopars"!!

Lmao- Khap you seriously cannot be this stuupid, honestly mate, your cracking me up.

You bag the Australian breeding Industry saying we couldnt get a runner in 3 of the G1,s- what on earth are you talking about?.

The Australian Breeding Industry had more representation at the meeting than any other breeding Industry and won races on the day.

This is the same Industry that provided more G1 winners than any other this year.

Your knowledge re: this Industry is appalling, but amusing.

Perhaps khrapper could tell us which of JJ's bloodlines Australia need some of. (Northern Dancer, Halo, Buckpasser, Best In Show, Ribot, Ballade/Glorious Song, Damascus, Right Royal...c'mon Khrappa, which?) Or why all our most expensive sires have a combo of them.

WCF you need to come to grips with the fact that life does not revolve around "what ifs", and certainly horse racing doesn't either.

You are living in fairyland.

Rex picks out a couple of placegetters in an overseas race from around 150,000 horses bred in Aus, that are of racing age, at that time. Fair dinkum, it makes you laugh. This year we couldn't even get a runner in 3 of the Group 1's.

The hysteria is getting to you like those at the Oprah house. Time you all smelt the roses. What further proof do you need that it takes very little to brainwash a human being. And based on this forum it takes even less to brainwash an Aussie. One journalist can write we have a great cricket team and millions fall for it.

By the way, one wonders when MD has the Aussies climbing back up to No 4 in Test rankings on his cyclical turn of events. It could be decades based on current trends.

Unfortunately the HK meeting comes just after the spring carnival. Horses really need to target one or the other.

I think this team would have brought back some of the spoils were they to target HK rather than the spring carnival

Sprint - Black Caviar and Hay List
Mile - More Joyous and Whobegotyou
Cup - So You Think and Zipping
Vase - Descarado and Maluckyday

LOL as usual Khrapper doesnt understand. So Black Caviar beats Ortensia 6-0 at a neutral venue and then JJ beats Ortensia 2-0 at a neutral venue. By his maths JJ beats BC 1-0. The wheel is turning but the hamster is dead.

"woeful weekend for aussie breds"

Khap- you do realise that Rocket Man and Sacred Kingdom (who has won the sprint twice) are also aussie bred- dont you? I wonder how much prize monies they picked up on the weekend?

We all know your here for a s-stir, but why dont you try to at least come up with something that makes even a remote bit of sense. Isnt this the meeting from last year were you bagged the Australian Breeding Industry after the first 3 home were all Australian Bred?

Now heres your home work assignment- you say it was a woeful weekend for Oz bred horses- how many won races on the rich Hong Kong card on the weekend?

It is laughable your lack of knowledge on this sport- seriously it is.

WCF, you making up stuff again.

Be careful mate, or you will start believing you are a winning punter.

So if Arsenal d. Chelsea 1-0 and Liverpool d. Arsenal 1-0, are you telling us Liverpool will beat Chelsea 2-0.

You really are... a silly little fool.

LMFAO!

Ortensia was only beaten 2L yesterday!

So looking at her recent runs also at 1200m wfa:

Black Caviar wins yesterday by 4.3L
Star Witness (no open aged G1) comes second about a neck ahead of JJ 3RD.
Rocket Man 4th
Albert The Fat 5th
Melito 6th

ALL AHEAD OF SACRED KINGDOM!

SK & LMF 7th and 8th

then just a little behind SK these Oz-bred stars:

Latin News
Mic Mac

and Idyllic Prince and Black in Time less than 3L behind SK, and then sprint star London!!!

(Oh and BC wins the big Dubai sprint with SW fighting out 2nd) Good one, Khrapper.

Another woeful weekend for Aussie bred racehorses. Ortensia proved that only big O should be let go abroad at one time, and preferably one with 2 legs and not from Aus. I don't reckon Ortensia would have won with 6 legs.

There were 4 other Aus bred horses in the sprint who were blown away by the Suth African.

Worse still, we didn't even have an Aus bred horse good enough to compete in the other 3 Group 1's.

I propose all Aussie races be downgraded by one level, no Group 1's, to justify their level on the world stage.

I don't know what to do with Cricket, it is in even worse shape, perhaps pretend it is not a main summer sport. We are now down to selecting players with 5 Shield games behind them and an opening batsman with a season average of 16. If only we had Warne and McGrath that would fix all of that. Well MD reckons it would.

Forget the Test rankings, the quality in our domestic cricket ranks has disappeared, to be almost non existant.

There should be a royal commission into our demise as a well performing sporting nation.
