Val De Ra is a SUPERSTAR, she is the Afrikan Caviar...a flying machine...she should be racing BC at Ascot, her record speaks for it's self, and she runs time.

Sage Throne, have followed this bloke from day one, this is his prep, I expect him to take all before him this season in Afrika, watch this bloke mow this field down from the back like Super Impose..a WFA horse in the making.
Message: "Well done Rex, I think between us we covered the lot as far as dividends go...not too shabby..!!"
Actually between the two of you, Rex gave the winner and third. Neither of you put the second horse in your selections which means you got none of those dividends at all. Well done on selecting the fourth place getter though.
Message: If Princess of Light or In Writing really clap on the pace in the cup I'll be confident if he's not ridden to far back, that Sage Throne will come home hard over the top of them, Kennilworth is a track I can see him liking with it's mega long wide straight, track is good I hear too, confidence is building here...hmmmmm..

Message: I also give Vettel a chance Rex, but am curious why you have left the proven stayer Gorongosa out of your selections..? De Kock has told the media in not so many words that she was better off in this race than the July.
I'll go... Sage Throne Seal Vettel Gorongosa
If I didn't have any emotional attachment to my horse Sage Throne I'd prolly go.. Vettel & Gorongosa on top with Seal, Princess of Light, & In Writing to fill placings.
Big card at Greyville also for their Super Saturday..enjoy the day.

Message: Im heading to Summerveld tomorrow to talk to some of the trainers/jockeys- Ill get back to you after that Quez. Looks a very competitive meeting again this year.
Message: Rex I'll take any positive lead I can get from you on my horse for the cup...he is really starting to become a horse that you really can't be confident of having a decent bet on.
He'll need a firm track, pace on, and a truckload of luck, if any of those are absent it's likely to be another frustrating experience...thing is he DOES have the ability, you watch his earlier races last prep and he looked like he could be anything. The July was never a race for him in hindsight, even with a favourable track, there's too much hustle n bustle in that sort of race, horse's fanning out everywhere and with massive interference likely everywhere when trying to make one solid long run...no.
The cup is a very different race on paper, there's not much depth to this lot, will try to map out the tempo of the race to see if he can get a geniune test of stamina, I see Blake as being one of in form horse's here, but he's no world beater, in fact this is about ST's level class wise imo.
I'll come back to this layer with a more ( hopefully ) accurate picture.

Message: Dunno Rex he was in the studio last week with Andrew when we did the King George, I recall him saying he was home for a couple of weeks, but pretty sure I also heard him mention Goodwood, so South Africa on the way might be on the agenda...I'm actually off this weekend..second time in 6 months yipeee so I have no clue who is hosting the weekend in Sky world...be nice to sit back and watch and be able to punt on some good racing fir a change as opposed to running the desk all night across the weekend.
Shane Anderson usually throws his leg over when the internationals are on but he's on holidays in Europe himself and he saud he was having a non racing 6 week break...so it'll no doubt be Andrew n Raffers weather Raffers is over there or in the studio I don't know.
Anything taking your fancy or any local mail for the Cup yet Rex..?
It's just funny how you post an open letter of lament at the absence of favorites at one meeting and the very next one when a favorite wins the big race you couldn't find it in your four selections.
You should have just given us some lamentation about your own failed attempts at grandure. Again.
While you are making comparisons - can you find a character to describe someone no one likes, says to the forum he doesn't actually bet when all his tips lose and is a constant pest?
