Message: Where does he rate... above Sunline/Northerly/Might&Power... somewhere between them and Black Caviar and Makybe Diva?
To me, what happened to him was one of the great tragedies of Australian racing. He was 'stolen' in the dark of night and taken to Europe and given to a trainer who took 18 month to work him out. Finally when he admitted he had at last got it right, he wins one more G1 and now he's finished.
If he'd been handled right and placed right, he might have been unbeaten in Europe and should never raced in the US and in Dubai.
It's perhaps the greatest testament to the horse that despite the bungles in Ireland he still won 5 Group 1's in the northern hemisphere? So long, So You think.

That huge they race in twos, nothing like a sling shot from a stablemate. Pitty they are hopeless outside there backyard, lol. So where is the depth from UK, thats right its all bought in. Plenty of depth of B graders alright.
Funny how Patsy names only pommy hacks but rakes in Europe for support. Maybe incl the US and if you close one eye Japan, Dubai are close enough.
Best 2000m, horse from Aus 2400m Arc won by german horse Plenty of depth over the jumps though!!
For the volume of horses bred from the UK they cant even do that right, we know trainers are average by there own admission, lolol.

Message: Milers are great most years.
Sprinters are weak.
In the last few years Goldikova/CanfordCliffs/Frankel/Rip Van Winkle/Sea The Stars etc would win or be favourite against anything globally over a mile.
Then theres the likes of Rakti/Hawk Wing/Rock Of Gibraltar/George Washington etc before them..ravens pass/henry the navigator..
Huge strength in Europe over the mile.
This year a bit weak bar Frankel, but most years easily as good depth wise and quality wise to anything on offer globally.
It's the PGA tour of horse racing from a mile upwards..the best from Europe start favourite wherever they go,even the B graders do.

Message: I have always been led to believe the strength of UK racing was in it's stayers by a long way. How come they find the greatest Racehorse of all times , Racing in the admitted , very weak area of horses they have contesting the shorter events.

More clueless lies from the soap-dodger who needs to invent new aliases to get any support. I know you have a massive chip on the shoulder, but you really shouldn't let it bother you so much that we don't fall for hype as easily as you do.

Message: Patsy
All under Aus trainers, all horses with untapped talent. Haha Let's talk about AOB 3 tail enders in the MC?
Just tells you how much better local trainers are, we know our place but you obviously don't recognize yours........inferior. That's before we start with public perception, then it's worse.
Right about now you need a reality check, why you hang off an Aus website trashing Aus racing indicates something disturbed and bitter.

Patsy , face facts, our horses have an incredible strike rate over in Europe. And many of these were not champions in this part of the world. Get over it!!
And posters on here are 100% correct to question Frankel's rating as the greatest ever. Obviuosly an incredible horse, but let's see him smash some genuine Group 1 horses over 10f before we give him that label, not seeing him beat up on the same weak bunch of milers every race.
You are an arrogant joke that has been on an Aussie forum for 10 years rubbishing our horses. Just about every thread gets hijacked with your rantings. If I had been denigrating Euro horses on a UK site for half as long, you would consider me a raving lunatic. Take a look in the mirror mate!!
As other poster have said, this has been done to death. Enough!!

Message: That’s almost right Patsy, its 99.99% of the UK that think he is a freak, the rest of the world know better. Why it makes you bitter is something for you to contemplate. I guess Frankel racing against also rans makes it difficult to accept and might have something to do with it.
Author: MD Timestamp:- 14/7/2012 12:45:53 PM Subject: Re: The end for So You Think
Message: RockyRegFagan you gullible liar - there is no doubt Frankel's a very good horse, but you carry on like he's the greatest ever when he is beating the same old plodders every race, over the same distance and hasn't moved out of his back yard.
As someone said previously, Aus/NZ horses just won G1s at your top carnival - nice effort that given we can't produce any good ones. Poor old poms have to rely on the rest of Europe to have anything decent at any distance other than a mile.
Author: Whips Timestamp:- 14/7/2012 12:33:12 PM Subject: Re: The end for So You Think
Message: It would be typical of an arrogant Patsy to think 99.99% of the world is the UK, blinkers on you might say. What a clown.
With the public ridicule of Frankels rating, even by the British Horseracing Authority, the high number would be publicly explained. But when its based on hype egg on face doesnt sit too well with authorities, and that gives oxygen to the Patsy hype, a waste of good oxygen I mught add.
The funny bit is Patsy thinks he is convincing everyone, great entertainment value atleast.

Message: Most handicappers will tell you Patsy that Montjeu and SYT produced much the same level of form, though, SYT did it with far greater consistency and has longevity on his side....
To say Montjeu would have done more if not for temperament is all well and good but temperament is clearly one of the major parts in the make up of a race horse.
The horse I own has a wonderful temperament, he'd be a multiple G1 winner if only he could run faster.....

Author: Whips Timestamp:- 13/7/2012 12:45:21 AM Subject: Re: The end for So You Think
Message: Considering SYTs hopeless trainer made a mess of him, sent in underdone and some second class rides he was clearly a modern day great in the UK. What he achieved in top company was outstanding during arguably one of the silliest put together campaigns for a long time particularly the dirt races.
For a laugh check out the list of nobodies behind Frankel and his scintillating 0.75L to Zoffany. Wouldn’t win a trick in Aus but that’s even a delinquent knows that, all hype but that’s what the kids like.
In case you missed it………………
While you rave on like a lunatic Patsy you will always be the butt of the joke. If your understanding is that poor that you value getting carted for 5f then gapping a pathetic field as an all-time best in 64yrs performance then best you try cooking classes.
The track tested good on the straight too for good measure to further deflate the effort.
So if you want to sound like a whoopee cushion with a set of lips on it banging like a dunny door, then by all means. The whole world is laughing at you fool.

Message: The horse (SYT) won 10 from 18 at G1 level and raced in many different parts of the world. Despite the trainer admitting he got it wrong with the horse (most were already saying it anyway).
He won two CP's in Australia, and in Europe defeated Arc, Derby and Oaks winners.

Message: no let's just talk garbage for another 2 weeks then..
So You Think displayed god like pegasus like ability in Europe with those narrow wins over snow fairy and workforce, the loss to cirrus des aigles and danedream and rewilding, the failures in dubai and america and the scintillating 2 length win over Carlton house and Farhh.
Very Very good horse but if anyones trying to tell me he's an all time great in Europe,I can't agree,in Australia of course yes.
