Message: Easter is a very busy period in racing as we all know.
Seven members (Gary, Chris Scholtz, Grant, Stephen, Chris, Bronwen and myself) from R&S were at Randwick on Saturday.
Most went home to Canberra or stayed in Sydney to be with family (which I personally rate highly) over Easter. Varing R&S members will be back today, Wednesday and next Saturday all seven of us will be back in Sydney.
The forum gets updated pretty quickly nowdays (under a couple of hours mostly) with the additional help of the moderators - who do a pretty thankless task.
Obviously at various times because of the large amount of racing (pre and post racing information that we process) and family committments during special times of the year it's not possible to moderate the forum as quickly as possible.
Just to give you an idea of the sort of abuse we recieve pretty regularly from some of the contributors on the forum.
He's a really classy one posted (by a regular poster) just before 11:00pm Easter Sunday...
Moderators - as sh!t as ever "deadset after i gave these c0co suckers a serve a few weeks ago they picked up their act for a bit but now theyre back to their same old fuking sh!t selves.
guys, get off your fat @rses and do some moderating.you are a bunch of lazy C unts who do nothing except drink tea.
if you are content to be so slack let me have a moderate, not only would i do a good job, id do it on time instead of taking 3 hours to update the fuking forum."
So, next time the forum is not updated when you expect it to be, maybe have a little consideration for everyone that is working their hardest to bring to you the Talkback forum.

Homer Simpson D'oh! award to you - I'm sure the R and S staff have the technical expertise re: IP addresses and suchlike. For Sunline's sake I'm the Gun - its kind of like telling Michael Schumacher that the accelerator pedal will make his car go faster.

Message: LOL Tonto - poor old Mike MOR-ONey indeed.
Funny story - there used to be a chap with the surname MORAN in an old town in the past and a certain lass was driving past this particular chap who was riding a bike - and she let loose with "Get out of the way you MO-RON!" - little did she know she was close to the money.

Message: I know you said to drop this subject now but I noticed all those referring to R&S - how about we call you all The Mod(erator) Squad instead? I'm leaving now after that groaner.

Message: This website has been fantastic since I discovered it about 2 years ago. I think the fellas who run it do an outstanding job (One complaint I have is there needs to be more West Aussie racing content, after all we do exist here in WA).
I'm looking forward to getting back into the forumns after being away for abit.
A job well done R&S team.
As for YourJoking, you are a complete NIMROD! Do Something...

Message: i think that the service that you PROVIDE is excellent.just curious though. Is the reason behind the person not posting in a couple of days because you guys have taken care of the foul mouthed poster? like many others know, the chat room allows the forumites to be more descriptive towards other forumites sometimes in bad ways but usually behind all the banter everyone enjoys themselves.i've been guilty of being descriptive(not overly crude though) in the chat room but i feel that it is ridiculous when the providers of this site are attacked this way. most posters would agree(hopefully)that there has been much rubbish posted here by many forumites in the past but the team has done an excellent job in making the forum more enjoyable. keep it up guys.i enjoy the forum and if others don't, and proclaim that other forums are great, why then do they surf the net for other forums when they have their own private nirvana site? if you're there and surf into this site then welcome but if you're here to moan and groan go back to the other site because we don't need your rubbish here

Message: Good to see you back Pink.....for a moment there I thought the unthinkable.
There is a small issue I would raise with regard to bad language : the censorship robot.
We have a poster called The Village Idio*. There was a great English novelist called Charles Dic*ens. There is a race horse trainer called Mike Mor*ney.
All three names are censored by the robot which is kind of silly.
Then again, given the sewer mouth that started this whole issue I can understand the need for the robot - but Idio*, D*ck and Mor*n ?

Settle down old pal - I'm sure Robert has deal with the culprit most accordingly. I'd say that the culprit has had his email spammed with Nikki Webster photos.

Message: Robert,
You guys have gotta start putting your foot down when it comes to Cr@p like that.
There's no point in showing us the kind of abuse you have to deal with if you're not going to do anything about it.
If a footballer breaks the rules he's sent to the "Sin Bin", maybe that's what we need on this site, our own "Sin Bin" ( no posts for a week ) for abusive posters.
Perhaps a weekly list of who's in the "Sin Bin" each week, maybe 3 stints in the Bin and you're out for good.

Message: What an eloquent post Robert - I can just picture this chap's home library - Di*kens, Hardy, Shakespeare LOL - I bet though there was a sigh of relief from all your staff when this particular wordsmith didn't add "uphill gardener!" or "looser" (sic) to the email.
Sheer class - BTW did you recommend this clown for the Turf Monthly award?

Message: Robert and crew, appreciate you have to deal with dunderheads often.
However I think the job you mob do is fantastic and this is a great FREE SITE where opinions, memories and whatever are a great read.
Last week I had to email Stephen with a technical problem of mine and ask for advice .... he is an obvious IT guru because he answered my query to pefection.
I've been in the journo/media business for close to 27 years and fair dinkum have meet some dunderheads with no idea during that time.
On one paper I worker many years ago we had a name for people who carried on like port chops ...OTD's....translated that meant "Out There Dullards".
Keep up the great work fellas and I'll try to keep my posts interesting, historically factual and just with a hint of licence.

Message: Crude abuse like Robert has depicted, should not be tolerated. A moderator does not need to be confronted by such language, particularly when the contributor would know their blasphemy will not be printed on the forum.
In my opinion, people know the rules.....it should be one strike and they are out.
