Carey landed his first win at Group 1 level when Arapaho Miss took yesterday's $1 million Crown Oaks (2500m) at Flemington.
Stablemate Royale Harmony also ran a top race and was beaten out of the placings in a photo on the line, finishing fourth.
Carey said the pair will head off to the paddock and be aimed at Oaks races over the autumn.
“Both fillies will go straight to the paddock and we'll let the dust settle and see what the autumn holds,” Carey told Sport 927.
“There'll be a few date changes with things in the autumn but I'm thinking both fillies will have a light autumn with some nice targets.
“Both will obviously be better next spring, particularly Arapaho Miss. She's not a very big filly, not very robust. She wants a little bit of time to furnish out.”
Both
Arapaho Miss
and
Royale Harmony
were having their seventh start in yesterday's tough test and both were in their first campaign.
