Sky Channel Star Stable allows players to become the “trainer” of their own Autumn Racing Carnival Stable, by selecting 10 horses and one Stable Jockey that will be racing and riding during the 2008 Autumn Racing Carnival.
The game, at www.starstable.com.au, is based on the real performances of horses during the 2008 Autumn Racing Carnival, in major races including The AAMI Golden Slipper, The BMW, The David Jones Derby and the Emirates Doncaster. After selecting a stable, each time a stable horse or jockey wins one of the nominated feature races, players will be allocated virtual prize money.
At the end of the competition, the top eight players will each receive a 10% share in the Sky Channel Star Stable Syndicate for a total of three years, valued at over $200,000. The Syndicate commences on 1st August 2008.
Through Dynamic Syndications, Sky Channel has leased three superbly bred thoroughbred yearlings - one each from Vinery Stud, Magic Millions and Coolmore
Stud, and will put them in the capable hands of three top New South Wales trainers. These three fine thoroughbreds will form the Sky Channel Star Stable Syndicate.
“Sky Channel is excited to launch this game,” says General Manager of Sky Channel, Brendan Parnell. “Whether you are a beginner, or a racing expert, the Sky Channel Star Stable is the perfect way to get involved in all the excitement of the 2008 Autumn Racing Carnival.”
Bonus prizes can also be won during the competition. If a player's Stable wins the highest virtual prize money at any of the featured 10 race meetings, they will also win a $500 Daily Double bet at a Sydney Metropolitan Gallops meeting.
