Friday, 15 May 2009CANTERBURY Race 6-1 NUCLEAR SKY
: Reported to be lame after disappointing effort last start at Rosehill and hard to enthuse about his chances of turning that form around under big weight.

FLEMINGTON Race 3-1 EXTRA ZERO
: Goes up 1kg on his win last time and meets the two closing placegetters worse off at the weights. 58kgs is a fair bit to lump. It will be interesting to see if he's closer to the traits of his half sister (Johan's Toy) who couldn't win at a mile or the other sister (Operetta Lass) who won over 2000m.
DOOMBEN Race 7-2 TRIPLE HONOUR
: Don't like after thought races. Was aimed at the Doncaster then backed up in the Queen Elizabeth Stks and while he ran well in both, three weeks between runs and carrying the weight is against him. If it becomes a staying test on a firm track, he'd be some risk.
MORPHETTVILLE Race 7-6 METROFOX
: Led throughout here to score on “Takeover Target” day, which had a dead-set fast lane, which she found. Tackles the mares today and with the rail out 8m this week expect more to be getting home. Should give a big sight but fancy she'll be unders on what was a flattering win.
